Let us all come together to chant the new year’s national anthem, “New Year, New Me”. I bet you are all geared up to tackle the new year as a brand new, changed and rebranded you. Aren’t we all. I won’t hold you, do you boo boo. However, I would love for you to press the break real quick and hear me out.
Instead of jumping ahead to all the habits you will change, the goals you will accomplish and the people you will cut out of your live, I invite you to take a breather and try this 3 Gs process first.
GRATITUDE
Often, us humans have the mentality of quickly jumping to the next thing, without taking the time to appreciate the gains. Try practicing gratitude by reflecting back to the year 2025 and identify 5 – 10 for which you are thankful.
GROWTH
Next, break down your accomplishments and failures into lessons and losses. This practice is to pinpoint the areas where you have grown and the areas that you need to continue improve. This exercise is not meant to shame you or make you feel bad. Rather, you will gain insight into the changes that you have made in your life. Congratulation!
GOALS
Now, we get to the part that we try to rush to before doing the preparation. After practicing gratitude and gaining insight into your growth, focusing the goals for the new year. It is crucial to focus on realistic goals that you can attain.
