Overtaken by Red

This Burlington Coat Factory purchase of a $30 Calvin Klein off white flower dress worn to my sister’s 1st Communion celebration brought me back to my childhood. As a child, I wore a great amount of flower dresses which made me feel girly and pretty. I always looked forward to the brutal early Sunday mornings when I would get to wear a flower dress to church. And when I say brutal, I speak not only of the brutal early hour I had to wake up. I speak of the hot, brutal, 90 degrees weather of the land I call home, Haiti!

On to the description…

I paired the dress with a red crop blazer and red heels to brighten up the whole outfit. I also accessorized with red jewelry (necklace, earrings, and bracelet) to bring everything together.

Indeed…I was overtaken by red!
