Alone, but not lonely

In a world
That thrives on social connections
I became secluded

Antisocial and weird
They call it
I gained self-awareness

Who dares to be alone?
And therefore, lonely
I found happiness

In search for validation
The actual self suffers
I fell in love with me

For, you can’t truly love others
Until you love yourself first
Alone, but not lonely
