Double Standards

All eyes on me
The pressure is on
Pat on the back
Respect is earned
Juggle them around the clock
Like a revolving door, they’re in and out
Women I mean, in case you’re wondering
Ladies-man, player, bachelor, what a life
The grandeur of being a man
All eyes on me
They’re watching closely
Knife in the back
Respect is lost
Juggle them around the block
Word gets around in a matter of days
Men I swear, women too, in case you thought different
Slut, hoe, whore, damn the hypocrisy
The burden of being a woman
All eyes on me
The future is mine
Work, provide and protect, daddy’s teachings
Discipline the children, love her right
Whining of mental, emotional and verbal abuse
Physical affection, is all I ask for, nagging wife
Spread my seed in and out of the house
A wife, a mistress and a few more on the side
The pride of manhood
All eyes on me
The future seems bright
Iron, cook and clean, mom’s teachings
Raise the children, treat him right
Mental, emotional and verbal abuse, stay for the kids
Physical abuse too, where do we draw the line
Lay down and spread, don’t you dare say no
Damn I wasn’t told, that belongs to men too
So much for womanhood
All eyes on us
Stick to the roles
She goes to work, she wears the pants
Stay at home dad, that’s absolutely gay
Flaunting her assets, she’s asking to get raped
Walking around shirtless, look at his ripped muscles
Lay down the rules, he’s the boss, isn’t he assertive
Lay down the rules, she’s the boss, she’s such a bitch
Double standards, destroy them all
