Heart Up In Flames

Temperature is rising up, it’s 120 degrees, no AC
Crack up a window, I’m burning up, solitary confinement
This is no ordinary fever I feel it in my chest, it’s my heart
Lub-dub-dub, Lub-dub-dub, irregular beats, call the guards

Got my heart locked up, for acting up, cardiac arrest
It’s too crowded in here, I can’t breathe, claustrophobic attack
Doctor perform surgery on me, it’s all clogged up
These scars can’t be patched up, they cut too deep

Muscles going weak, I can’t function well, ALS patient
Try to fix it, throw ice water on me, ice bucket challenge
Freeze me up, calm me down, I am so unbothered
I wear my heart on my sleeve, it might just grow cold

Take it back, take it back, take back your love
Give it back, give it back, give back my heart
Wait, hold on, I take it back, I didn’t mean any of that
I apologize, I really do, it’s just my jealous heart talking

Come back, push my buttons, turn me on, light me up
Cook up the pot, throw them in, one by one, stir it up
Rile me up, fire burning, heart up in flames, call 911
Sit back, watch me burn, you know how to put the fire out

This twisted game we play, got us tangled up, twisters
Tip me over the edge, you always catch me before I fall, wicked
With a smile on your face, you push me further each time around
I hate it and love it at the same damn time, twisted

Get under my skin just because, you do it so well
Mischievously satisfying, send my heart up in flames
What’s a little jealousy every now and then, you play it well
As long as you make it up to me, kiss it, put the fire out
